Rocky Furfari acquired by Jr. Canadiens
Toronto, December 15, 2012 The Toronto Jr. Canadiens are pleased to announce the signing of 5’11”, 167 pound Defenseman Rocky Furfari. A native of Klienburg, Ontario, Furfari was acquired from the Milton Ice-Hawks where he had goal and 5 assists in 22 games this season. Furfari, born Feb 6, 1995 began his OJHL career last year playing 36 games as an under-ager for the Milton Ice Hawks scoring 1 goal and registering 5 assists. "Furfari is a positive addition to our team” commented Head Coach Mario Cicchillo, “He is a good young defenseman and I am confident that he will strengthen our overall team defense.” “I wish to personal welcome Rocky to our team” said Toronto manager Frank Morris adding, “I know the team will benefit from the efforts of this enthusiastic young ma.” Furfari is not expected to be in the line-up this weekend and will commence practicing with the team next week.
